Wednesday 4 March 2026
In perfect running weather, I headed out again with the 9-kilometer group today. Right from the start it was clear that darkness would fall within the hour, so we chose our usual winter route — this time running it in the opposite direction. Sometimes that small change alone is enough to make a familiar loop feel a bit different again.
But no matter where you start this route, a few hills are always part of it. They simply belong to the terrain here.
Along the way we had an unexpected pause. At a railway crossing we had to wait for more than three minutes while a train passed. For a moment we just stood there, catching our breath and exchanging a few words.
To stay roughly within the hour, we shortened the route slightly over the final kilometers. But that didn’t matter much. It was still a good run and a pleasant way to finish a Wednesday outdoors.
